Gail Borden Public Library
The magnificent Gail Borden Library moved in 2003 into a 139,980 square foot facility located on the eastern shore of the Fox River. At a cost of $29.8 million, the new library has the capacity of 460,000 volumes and is built for substantial growth. The library building is a two-story structure whose design was inspired by the Prairie School style.
The library offers a wide variety of programs, has internet connection and even contains a reading room overlooking the Fox River with a cozy fireplace for warming visitors in the winter.
