Adjacent to the Fox River and set in the heart of Elgin's downtown, Festival Park boasts a myriad of features and provides a gateway to a great time. Located on Grove Avenue just north of the Grand Victoria Casino, across from River Park Place and adjacent to the Fox River, Festival Park was built to attract families and festivals to Downtown Elgin.
Upcoming events at Festival Park
The Gateway to Festival Park is a modern sculpture designed to reflect the old clock tower that once stood at the Elgin Watch Factory. Located at the corner of Grove Avenue and Prairie Street, the entrance leads to the zero-depth interactive fountain that attracts visitors during hot summer days to cool off in the playful jumping fountains of water. At night the fountains are illuminated by colored lights, becoming a beautiful place to relax and enjoy.
The layout of the park is fun and playful and a hit with children. The gardens and their pathways lead to a play area full of more interactive components, featuring jumbo musical instruments, a giant spiderweb for climbing, and many more reasons to play and socialize with friends.
