The Downtown Neighborhood Association provides valuable services to all businesses, organizations, property owners and residents located within the Downtown Elgin district. These services are designed to maximize exposure of your business, organization or property, while staying true to the DNA mission of creating a thriving downtown. These complimentary services are available to anyone currently located within the boundaries of Downtown Elgin, as well as prospective business clients actively working with DNA to pursue a downtown location.
Downtown Elgin is designated as Kimball Road (both sides) to the north, Dundee/Center/Villa (west side) to the east, State street (both sides) to the west and National Street (both sides) to the south.Â
• Enhanced Listing on the DowntownElgin.com Directory: Your listing may include multiple photos, business logo, descriptive text, links to your website and social media, embedded video and more. Request your business be added to the directory here.
• Inclusion in DNA Email Campaigns: Submit your event or promotion to DNA for consideration to be included in weekly email campaigns. DNA currently sends one email weekly every Thursday to a list of thousands of subscribed readers.
• Participation Opportunities: DNA offers a variety of ways to promote your business through promotional campaigns, including in-person events or via online advertising campaigns designed to increase exposure and foot traffic. Sign-up here for the Downtown Elgin Stakeholder email list to ensure you receive announcements about these opportunities.

• Social Media Promotions: DNA proactively shares posts created by downtown businesses and organizations, as well as creating custom content featuring downtown businesses and organizations as appropriate within existing DNA marketing campaigns and objectives.
• Downtown Elgin Market Participation: Downtown businesses and organizations are invited to participate in one complimentary Market date per season to promote their business or services or sell product per market guidelines.
• Ribbon Cuttings & Press Releases: DNA will host ribbon cutting events for grand openings or important milestones. A press release for new business openings or major announcements may be created and sent to the DNA media email list with coordination from the business.
• Access to DNA Supply Inventory: DNA has an inventory of event supplies available to borrow which include folding tables and chairs, pop-up tents and more. Depending upon the value of borrowed items, a refundable deposit is required ranging from $50 to $100.
• Meetings & Networking: DNA hosts and partners on a variety of meetings, seminars, workshops and networking events both in-person and virtually. All Downtown Elgin stakeholders are welcome to participate.
• Committees & Volunteerism: DNA offers a variety of ways to be more involved through committee participation and volunteering. Please fill out the volunteer form if you are interested.
• Preferred Pricing: DNA has negotiated preferred pricing with select vendors only available to Downtown Elgin businesses. Click here for details.
