ELGIN CANDIDATE QUESTIONNAIRE
The Downtown Neighborhood Association (DNA) created and distributed a candidate questionnaire to all candidates running in the 2025 Elgin City Council election.
The questionnaire included 3 questions relevant to downtown Elgin topics. Candidates were given the opportunity to complete this questionnaire with the understanding that their answers be shared publicly and published on the Downtown Elgin website in a voter information guide prior to the election. Contact information for each candidate is available on the final page on the report.
The Downtown Neighborhood Association of Elgin (DNA) does not endorse or oppose any candidate for public office. This activity is being conducted in accordance with IRS guidelines for permissible nonprofit voter engagement activities. Information gathered through this activity is intended solely to educate the community and encourage voter participation by publishing candidate responses as submitted.

IMPORTANT VOTING TIPS FROM THE CITY OF ELGIN
The Consolidated General Election will be held on April 1, 2025. This election includes contests for city council seats, library district elected offices, school boards, and fire districts. Your ballot may look different than other Elgin residents depending on the boundaries of the district in which you reside.
Elgin residents who are registered to vote can apply to vote by mail, vote early, or vote on Election Day at the designated polling place. Voting information and locations also differ by county of residence.
