Elgin Knit Works is a specialty yarn store with a vintage urban feel. Local owners Betsy & Linda are dedicated to constantly evolving and bringing in exciting new yarns and fibers. You’ll find a unique selection of yarn bowls, project bags, stitch markers, shawl pins and gifts all individually chosen from independent artists. As of mid March 2021, Elgin Knit Works has relocated to 10 Douglas, just one door down from their original location.
Shopkeepers Betsy and Linda are both retired teachers who have a passion for knitting and helping others. Their vast curriculum of knitting classes will help knitters of all levels build basic knitting skills or take on more difficult projects. Classes are available on a private or semi-private basis and scheduling of class times is flexible to fit your schedule.
At this time classes and events are limited due to Covid restrictions. Please call to inquire.
