The Elgin Turners is a private club that is proudly shared every Friday to offer Elgin and surrounding communities its popular Friday Night Fish Fry. The Elgin Turners is located in a historic building dating from the early 1870s. The location overlooks historic Downtown Elgin, the Fox River and is within minutes of the Grand Victoria Casino. Elgin Turners is a local chapter of the American Turners. Banquet Hall rentals are also available for special events.
The Elgin Turners recognize the family group upon which the greatness of our country has been built and the harmonious education of the body and mind as the most important factors to preserve and perfect democracy. The American Turners endeavor to accomplish their purposes and promote their ideals through:
- A planned program of health and physical education for the development of a sound body;
- A planned program of cultural education for the development of a sound mind;
- A planned recreational and social program for all members of the family group and participation in worthy civic projects, local and national.
