Red Poppy Bistro is a small family-owned bistro in the heart of Downtown Elgin that specializes in home-cooked meals with a European flare! Their delicious menu features items such as homemade pot pies, deep quiche and pierogi feasts.

They are also well known for their pierogis and specialty sides such as sweet sauerkraut, polish sausage, German potato salad and fresh cucumber salad. Recently opened in the Spring of 2020 by locals Matthew Habib and his wife, Jennifer Polit, the Red Poppy Bistro is quickly becoming a favorite in Downtown Elgin. Please note, as of December 2020 Red Poppy Bistro is temporarily closed for an exciting expansion! Check back later for updates about their re-grand opening anticipated in early 2021.
